Creating can be fine and overwhelming at the same time, especially if you are going the DIY approach.
Creating doesn’t have to be hard and I want to help you with unleashing that untapped talent of yours. What better way to share the things and resources I have used along the way to help you on your own creative journey.
Creating is not necessarily a talent, it also involves dedication in enhancing your skills.
Although I am not formally educated in the arts, I have found investing in classes has really helped me learn new skills on top of improving the skills I already possess.
One of the best things you can do is invest in yourself, and if you believe you can do something, takes the steps needed to accomplish whatever your heart desires.
It took me years to hone in on my craft and I am still learning and I want to help you unleash your own artistic talent so I have created a list of resources that I have used to help me enhance my skills, help me with projects and more!

ADOBE CREATIVE CLOUD
Canva is a great tool to get you started when it comes to DIYing your graphics and logos but it can only take you so far. If you are looking into creating logos as a side hustle, you will need to invest in tools that will produce graphics for your clients that are a lot more forgiving and also scalable. No one wants a pixelated logo.
Here is where Adobe Creative Cloud comes into play. Adobe has a wide variety of programs that ranges from document editing, photo manipulation, animation, video eding and illustrations.
If you are interested in starting a freelance creative business that includes logo designs, one thing to consider is that scalability. Basically if a client is needing to put their logo on printing material you want to make sure that regardless of the size of the print the logo won’t become pixelated. Adobe Illustrator is a great program to use for logo and helps solve this problem.
If you are a photographer and need to manipulate or enhance photos, Photoshop and Lightroom are great programs to use.
Into video editing? Adobe Premiere and After Effects will provide you with the tools needed to make some great videos and effects.
If you are interested in these software Adobe is offering free 30-day free trials on most of their programs. Check them out here!
